New York Times, winning 5 Pulitzer Prizes in 2009, looks to work with Team: Società in hosting an open forum called "Times Talk". The forum will encourage dialogue from multiple organizations and disciplines on campus in a mock-debate that will utilize various publications of paper (courtesy of the New York Times) as a central focal point. This will serve as an experience to understand the subjective view of the "other" that we oftentimes overlook in our everyday lives. Both the dates and the organizations planning to attend have yet to be set, but soon will be released.
The Debate will be held in Corbett Center: 1st floor in the Otero Room on October 1st at 7 pm to 10 pm. The debate is open to the public and participation is encouraged! There will be free drinks and pizza compliments of both Team Società and Black Programs. The articles to be discussed with be posted soon...
